US Embassy Lima

There are many ways to volunteer and support your community while living in Peru.

Pictured to the left is former USEA President Charles Roe with the volunteers from Centro Ann Sullivan. USEA donations helped pay for a new playground set for CASP. Kudos to all the volunteers who helped make NDA 09 an enormous success. We could not do all we do without yur love and support. Gracias equipo CASP. Also a big thank you to the teens from Roosevelt HS and Newton HS- you rock.

Below is Ambassador Michael and Mrs. Fatima McKinley with Peruvian super star Susana Baca and her father. One of the most common misconceptions of volunteerism is that you have to join an organization or be in a special group. Anyone can create or support an event. We donate our time and energy to a cause we feel passionate about. Here in Lima we have mission families interested in recycling, urban planning, art, english as a second language, orphans and many many other causes that could use a helping hand.

1).How do I contact USEA?...send us an email at useaboard@gmail.com

2). Can I join the board of directors?...yes elections will be March 2011

3). How do I volunteer?....talk to the CLO or send us an email

4). What if my spanish is not strong enough?....the embassy offers Spanish classes and there are plenty of opportunities to help while working with people who speak multiple languages.

The Board invites you to join us, and to contact us, if you are interested in sponsoring or volunteering. Please email us at useaboard@gmail.com.
